Started painting parts, the red is for the wife's bike and the brown is my bike. Once i add a few more layers and wait for it to cure i should have some updated pictures. In other news I managed to score a couple old mining lamps for headlights. They need a refurbish and I will be converting them over to LED. (if anyone requests a tutorial i will be more than happy to make one.)

Alright guys time for my friday update, I let my bike paint cure and reassembled it I still have to make a gas tank and save up a bit more for the engine , the wifes bike still needs to be painted but her motor should arrive soon. In other news I managed to fry a raspberry pi yesterday. I ordered a 4 amp 5 volt power supply for it, When it came in I installed it straight away without testing to make sure it really was 5 volt.... So after putting 12 volts through it she is pretty well dead. Luckily I have spares and consider it a cheap lesson, Always test voltage on things before actually installing em!
Anyway, any opinions on the gas tank for these? I have been considering fiberglass for weight but for accuracy i have been considering making a metal one.

Benjo motivated me to get started on a unity project, Here is a sneak peak. This will just be your basic zombie survival first person shooter. I dont like replying to my own posts but I figure this may be worth of an update. This is a sneak peak of the prison level.

A zombie survival game is quite hard to make due to the nature of the zombie AI which you will have to write. Nonetheless, it is looking quite decent! Keep up the good work. Some questions: - Is it going to be singleplayer or multiplayer? - Will it have different game-modes? - Are you going to do all the art (models, environment, animation, sound effects, music) yourself? - Is this your first game project? PS: Oh lord, not another zombie survival game.

This will be a single player game sorta like the old nazi zombies but with a more horror feel, am just doing this first level and some menus for now for a contest, I have already written most of the AI, i do need to improve path finding a bit to make it more random and add animations, If i continue the project after the contest I will add a campaign mode but for now I just wanna focus on getting 1 level done . Also all the graphics in the game where bought. ( a bit more expensive but in my opinion totally worth it lol) And oddly enough this game has been easier than making a 2d rpg in unity lol. Also thanks for the feedback! Here is the enemies in action.

Ah, I see! That's a great way to start. I wish you all the best with this game, and keep us updated. Who knows, one day this game might be a hit.

Absolutely agree, lmao. Ive become decent at Unity, and I still believe it's harder to make 2D games than 3D games

Ive become decent at Unity, and I still believe it's harder to make 2D games than 3D games Yea man thats because the 2d part wasnt even added to unity till unity 4 i think lol so it is not really designed with 2d games in mind, it was added as more of an afterthought. Here are a few projects in one pic! The 1937 buick to the left is my dads and the 48 dodge to the right is mine.

omg that is so awesome!!!
Could you do things so that like.. you refurbish an old hand held console and have it run emulated games or something? If you did that I would be totally keen to buy one off you XD

The sony psp can be modified to run emulators without changing the hardware, The handheld i made was basically a game gear case with a small linux computer in it to run the emulators.
A Console system is a bit easier to make because you dont need to worry about a display or fiddle with battery packs and recharging circuits. I would be more than happy to give you full instructions on how to mak your own if ya want!
anyway, to make most consoles run emulators you pretty much have to swap out all the internals, Its not as hard as it sounds tho. The gamecubes took about 3 hours each while the sega gamegear was around 30 hours... But like 20 of em where sanding and painting.

A console would be totally awesome. I originally just thought handheld cause then I could travel with it. lol.
I've never tried taking anything apart and putting things back together again. Do you need a lot of specialist tools?
