I agree, you def have some hardware skills haha. Do you typically buy broken units for parts or anything?

Thanks guys, just remember anyone can do any of this stuff all ya gotta do is not be afraid of failing. I pretty much ruined the first console I ever tried to modify. I guess its a good thing to be stubborn sometimes.
I just buy broken consoles in lots, Like ill buy a buncha broken ds's or nintendos or whatever and then I fix what I can and sell it. If I cant fix it back to stock I save all the parts i can and use the shell to make something else. Basically I like fixing stuff and this kinda pays for itself, Plus it allows me to collect old games and stuff for free.
If anyone wants to try any of this kind of stuff feel free to ask me anything, I am more than willing to make some wiring diagrams or a parts list if ya need one.

Thankfully as an engineering student, I got to tinker with many things as well; I can confirm, once someone gets into this, it becomes a lot of fun if you enjoy it and don't mind learning how things work.

I am in the process of saving for a 3d printer so soon ill be able to make custom cases a bit faster. And Ohhpaigey Its all low voltage stuff so you cant really get hurt. well except on the gamegear main board. there are 2 capacitors for the back light that are 50v that gave me a nice suprise when I touched it lol. Ok so here are some pics of various other projects, I may need to figure a way to organize some of this lol. First is a small gimp project I did. This is my board track racer replica project, i just took shipment of the bikes a few weeks ago and i am still waiting on parts. This is the general idea of what i am making. and i am actually making two of them, one being gas and one being electric. Next up is one of my car projects. started with this junk lol. I hacked out the front suspension anre rebuild it to make room for a bigger engine. then I added the 7.5 liter v8 This is what she looks like, I am still not done with her, i have to install the radiator in the trunk to make room in the engine bay. Here is me doing some prototyping for the gauge cluster i am making using an arduino to convert all the analog inputs to digital. Thanks for looking and ill be sure to upload more custom consoles and stuff as I make them.

More parts for the bikes should be in over the next week or so, I still have to purchase the engine for mine so its lagging behind the wife's bike a bit, hers still needs paint and some fiberglass work but once the hub motors come in all i need to do is start making the battery packs.

New hand grips and front suspension, i dropped the seat by 4 inches and its still not low enough, time for more cutting lol. also i gotta clean up the leftover metal from removing the luggage rack. Soon I will start on the fiberglass tank. I still have to make motor mounts, cut the back fender and prep her for paint. Also still waiting for new brass pedals and a real leather seat.

I'm learning Arduino stuff for school. That is fun stuff. I'm mostly into software, but I love manipulating analog/mechanical things with digital things (part of the school project). Thanks for sharing all this, it's cool to look at
